You may like listening to music or podcasts while studying or exercising, but if you’ve got the volume turned way up, you’re doing your ears a disservice. If what you’re listening to can be heard by others despite wearing ear buds or headphones, scale back the volume to ensure clear hearing in the long term. Never turn the volume up to its maximum or shove ear buds all the way into your ears; your eardrums can pop by doing either of these things. After taking off headphones, check for ringing, buzzing, or discomfort in your ears. Also, give yourself a break to prevent music overload, and consider all the same advice if you attend a concert or show. To find out more about preventing hearing loss, CLICK HERE.
